A new opportunity has arisen to join our Radiology team. We provide a high quality diagnostic imaging service 24/7 to the Trust and are moving to a shift system which supports this service. We pride ourselves on high quality imaging, providing it safely and efficiently. You will have access to state of the art digital equipment and a GE PACS system.
As a Band 5 Radiographer you will be supported through a comprehensive training program and will be offered an excellent rotation through plain film, theatre and CT.

We encourage and support CPD and as such operate a link grade model which is well established and offers the opportunity for career development in specialties such as interventional radiology, PACS, Cardiacs or CT/MRI.

Main duties of the job
The Role requires both autonomous working and team working, in a wide variety of Radiology examinations in a 24/7 service.
The Radiographer Must ensure imaging Requests are Justified against department protocols and in accordance with IRMER 2017.
High quality diagnostic images Must be achieved while maintaining excellent patient care.
The individual Must be accountable for their own professional actions and will work as part of a multi disciplinary team.

To understand, communicate and ensure the IRMER (Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations) are adhered to at all times.
To provide a high quality professional Diagnostic Imaging Service to all patients attending the Radiology Department.
To communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care and treatment.
To provide effective input into the work of the Trust, to support the achievement of our vision and values.
To be accountable for own professional actions and to act as a role model within the department, setting and maintaining high standards of professionalism and patient care and encouraging the development of a strong and flexible multi-disciplinary team
