Job summary

This is a registrar level post ideal for candidates looking to enhance urological experience and CV in a supportive department. The previous incumbent of this post was successful in the 2022 ST3 national selection process. The department has a strong recent history in helping trainees get a urology registrar training number, with successive candidates from the department being successful.

This post will have a registrar on call commitment on a 1 in 6 basis. The candidate will be supported by consultants with developing competence in core emergency operating including scrotal exploration and ureteric stenting. The urology registrar is supported by a dedicated urology CT1 level on call doctor.

Main duties of the job

To fully participate of elective and emergency urological services
To provide highest possible levels of patient care
To work as an active member of the Urology team
To actively remain clinically competent
To work closely with Multidisciplinary teams
To activate particulate and undertake cancer related research and projects
To teach staff/Medical Students
To work to all Trust Policies and procedures
