Job summary
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The Breast Service Administrator post is a pivotal role within the Breast Unit. The successful candidate will join a well-established team and will need to be flexible and adaptable in their approach, a good team player with the ability to work well on their own initiative and willing to take on a variety of duties, whilst having the ability to maintain attention to detail.
The post holder will ensure compliance with local and national performancetargets and quality standards.
To support the smoothing running of elective clinics, i.e. ensuring all external referrals are available on the system for review and liaising with the secretaries for any issues.
To work closely with the Breast Service Co-ordinator to ensure that clinics are fullyutilised on a weekly basis using available reports such as the ASI, AfBs, RAS triage.
To attend the weekly diary meeting in the absence of the Breast Service Coordinator.
The post holder will be expected to work directly with the clinical teams, patients, and their carers to assist in the coordinating of the surveillance and family history pathway.
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate the appointments for all breast patients and escalate any slot issues Supporting the management of 2WW choose and book appointments. To support the smoothing running of elective clinics.
To work closely with the Breast Service Co-ordinator to ensure that clinics are fully utilised.
To attend the weekly diary meeting in the absence of the Breast Service Coordinator.
Assist the secretarial team in preparing for the MDT meetings and undertake any other duties which may reasonably be expected of the successful applicate to ensure smooth running of the service.
Tracking all surveillance mammograms , Family History & Remote Monitoring patients.
Managing/ populating spreadsheet with reporting data and presenting when necessary. Liaise with the Advance Nurse Practitioners in managing the Genetic Referrals.
To assist the Nurse Practitioner with admin in the Pain Clinic held at NenePark.
Have an awareness of the RTT pathway.
Liaising with patients face to face, telephone and SMS
Dealing with patient complaints
Management of clinic changes
Use computer, office equipment and telephones
Undertake other clerical duties as delegated by the team co-ordinator/Medical Secretary as and when required.
