Nurse Practitioner for Gynaecology

Job summary

Are you passionate about women's health? Would you like to join a small team delivering high quality care to women within the Gynaecology Same Day Emergency Care and Termination of Pregnancy service?

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the safe and effective nursing care for all women accessing the Gynaecology service. The post holder must hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical ultrasound. The post holder will provide clinical leadership, nursing expertise and advice to staff regarding all women accessing the Gynaecology service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assess plan implement and evaluate the care for women accessing the GSDEC and TOP service ensuring evidence-based practice. They will work autonomously providing the gynaecology service with USS provision.

The post holder will work closely with the Trusts Capacity and flow team and Gynae inpatient ward ensuring safe and effective patient flow throughout the Gynaecology service.

The post holder will exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Conduct.

This post requires a pro choice approach to the women who access our services.
