An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to apply for a post of Clinical Nurse Specialist in Colorectal Cancer at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Main duties of the job
The post holder will join the existing experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide expert clinical and supportive care for patients with a Colorectal Cancer.
We are seeking an experienced nurse with the ability to work autonomously under pressure in this busy specialty. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills are necessary.
Experience of nursing patients with a colorectal cancer is essential.

Job responsibilities
Working as part of the Colorectal Cancer multidisciplinary team at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the post holder will ensure that patients, relatives, and staff have access to expert colorectal cancer support during the patient pathway.
In collaboration with the Clinicians the post holder will have responsibility for providing a progressive and innovative service for the nursing care and ongoing management of patients suffering from colorectal cancers throughout treatment, follow up and where appropriate within palliative care.
The post holder will advance the role by integrating the four key aspects of clinical practice, service management, education and research whilst collaborating closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and monitor standards of care.
