Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available with the Surgery Division for a Service Support Manager. The Division are looking for an individual with operational management experience as well as experience of process improvement and with high levels of attention to detail.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills who have the ability to work well as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
The post will be of interest to those who wish to pursue a career in hospital management and would like to gain more experience in a busy service with a wide variety of challenges.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a key role in supporting the delivery of 18 Weeks 'Referral To Treatment (RTT)' and 62-Day Cancer targets, to include theatre and outpatient scheduling as well as managing the administration function of the Division. The role will also involve validation of the PTL (Patient Tracking List) to ensure a timely pathway for each patient.
Good communication skills and being able to work with all levels of staff are crucial, with the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines. An overview of both strategic and operational issues within the Trust and Division is required. Providing senior support and expert knowledge to the administrative teams within the Division overseeing all administrative and clerical processes to enable a high quality, effective patient focused service to be delivered, utilising standard operating procedures to ensure achievement of all KPI's.
