Job summary

The Children and Young People Service at Kettering General Hospital is looking for an exceptional, inspirational, dynamic and highly experienced senior Nurse.

In this role you will hold professional and leadership responsibility for the provision and management of Children and Young People Services which sits within Family Health division.

You will be a key member of the management team within Family Health division and will ensure the nursing agenda is implemented. You will hold accountability for continuous review of quality and efficiency of service delivery, audit and quality initiatives, ensuring that safe systems are in operation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with drive, energy and personality.

Main duties of the job

Children and Young People Services at Kettering is on an improvement journey that requires a skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate leader to consistently deliver improved outcomes. As the Trust continues on its journey as part of a Hospital Group with Northampton General Hospital and as part of the local Integrated Care System the post holder would need to build effective working relationships to facilitate change across all aspects of the service.

Essential

  • Registered Children's Nurse Post Graduate or equivalent level
  • Further evidence of management/leadership training [or experience] and continuous professional development
  • MSc in a relevant subject or working towards

Desirable

  • Relevant Postgraduate qualification in a management discipline

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Experience at a senior level in a complex environment, including a sound understanding of the performance and governance requirements of the NHS.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of delivering nursing strategic and operational performance management and clearly demonstrating improvement in the quality of maternity & nursing care.
  • Experience of working and delivering Trust-wide professional midwifery/nursing objectives
