Job summary
This post is intended to provide middle grade experience for those seeking a career in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
This post is for an initial 12 months, with the possibility of extension on agreement and review
Candidates must have completed MBBS or equivalent and had Foundation experience.
Candidates will have basic training in surgery in general and experience in Orthopaedics and have MRCS or working towards finishing part B.
There will be opportunity to attend teaching alongside the Specialist Registrars in the Leicester training programme within the limits of service commitments.
The job will support candidates wishing to sit the FRCS examinations and we have a good track record of successful attainment from our unit.

We are a district general hospital with a full trauma subspecialty service provision, with good links with Coventry and Leicester teaching hospitals for major trauma and spines.
