Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed individual to join a very busy Catering Department. You will have day to day responsibility for providing front line supervision of our catering team to ensure the smooth running of the patient food service.

Main duties of the job

  • To direct and control the food service to patients, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and within the agreed timescales.
  • Ensure a high standard of food service is maintained.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, hygiene and food safety procedures are adhered to and documented in accordance with the Food Safety Management System (HACCP).
  • Conduct daily hygiene & health and safety checks and submit relevant reports to the Catering Manager.
  • Supervise catering staff and catering activities.
  • Ensure high levels of staff morale by motivation and personal leadership.
