Job summary
This Post is part of the Maintenance Team of Kettering General Hospital who provides maintenance services, both planned and reactive, for the properties belonging to the Hospital
The Post Holder is expected to provide a comprehensive gardening and groundsman service for all areas of the Hospital
The post holder will carry out necessary gardening and groundsman tasks to ensure the up-keep and to improve the overall look of the Trust.
The post holder will undertake a planned preventative maintenance schedule for the upkeep of all the grounds and gardens associated with KGH along with reactive calls for add-hock reported defects.
The post holder will be working to established gardening system procedures, good practice, organisational and broad occupation policies. Often working to measured standards and procedures which require specific training; in first line response situations the post holder will need to establish how such policies can be implemented.
The post holder will undertake annual statutory and mandatory training in-line with the duties for this role.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job include carrying out routine gardening and grounds maintenance activities to include, grass cutting, hedge trimming/pruning, digging, planting, road sweeping, litter picking, salt spreading, weed spraying etc as directed by the supervisor.
