An exciting opportunity has risen to join the Naseby B Ward Management Team.
This post to open to any Band 5 or Band 6 nurse with leadership experience who wish to progress or is looking for a change.
Naseby B Ward is a 20 bedded Elderly Care male Unit providing specialist care for patients with Dementia as well as multiple Co-morbidities and Physical Health Needs. The post holder will report to the Ward Manager and will have the opportunity to develop within a leadership role, as well as supporting staff and monitoring and promoting best practice.
Main duties of the job
The Ward Manager is looking to recruit a Band 5 experienced Registered Nurse to the role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse on Naseby B Ward or a band 6 Deputy Sister looking for a change. We are a 20 bedded Elderly Care male Unit providing specialist care for patient with Dementia as well as multiple Co-morbidities and physical health needs. The post holder will be reporting to the Ward Manager and will have the opportunity to develop within a leadership role, as well as supporting staff and monitoring and promoting best practice.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a team who provides an essential and much needed service to our aging population and to make a difference in the care that they receive as an inpatient. The successful applicant will assist the Ward Manager to participate in the ongoing development of the team, their multidisciplinary partners and to champion dementia care and end of life care delivery.
You will need to have a good range of clinical nursing skills, be proactive and work autonomously and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of being highly visible as a clinical leader. The role will involve supporting junior nursing colleagues, ensuring daily care standards are maintained, engaging in quality monitoring and HR processes, incident and complaints management and taking on a leadership role in the absence of the ward matron and senior ward sister with additional development through Practice Development.
