Job summary
Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic Estates Officer to join our multi-Skilled Estates team providing operational maintenance services and compliance to a large acute hospital and associated properties.
Candidates are to have knowledge of NHS water systems, compliance and regulations regarding water safety and knowledge of waterborne bacteria's, how they can can grow in systems and how this can be prevented and remediated to elevated areas, risk assessments, compliance reporting.
You will be a keen and enthusiastic team member with a recognized water safety qualification and experience with in a complex building services environment.
Main duties of the job
The role is to assist the Authorised Person (Water) and the Maintenance Manager in the effective management of the Trusts' many, varied and diverse buildings, and systems, primarily regards to water safety, ensuring the systems provide an effective and safe service for the hospital.
The post holder will contribute to the specification and management of water safety related minor projects, upgrades, repairs, non-conformities and new developments as required.
The post holder will be expected to further their knowledge by enrolling in specialist system Competent Persons Courses such as Asbestos, Medical Gasses, Ventilation.
