Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our expanding, forward-thinking and highly regarded Therapy Team.
You will work alongside the Deputy Director of AHPs, Deputy Head of Therapies and the B7 medicine leadership team in the planning, co-ordination and development of the Medicine Team. You will provide leadership, support, supervision and mentorship to the team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting clinical excellence and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
- State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- MSc in relevant subjects or equivalent level of post-graduate specialist training short courses
- Evidence of CPD through maintenance of a portfolio, in the area of acute and/or specialist medicine
Desirable
- Clinical Educators course or equivalent
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Membership of CSP special interest groups relevant to speciality
- Relevant Postgraduate clinical qualification
- Management skills or leadership training
Knowledge/Experience
Essential
- Significant relevant, recent clinical experience in the management of patients with age related conditions, patients with long term conditions requiring hospitalisation.
- Evidence of a broad base of clinical experience at Band 6 level
- Recent relevant work in an NHS environment
- Significant experience of working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team and inter-agency working
- Experience of multi disciplinary goal planning, development of care pathways and using outcome measures
- Experience of organising and implementing training programmes for physiotherapists, MDT members, assistants and students.
- Experience of service development/change management
- Experience in implementing evidence based practice in speciality
- Ability to work across 7-day service and participate in the overnight oncall rota.
- Advanced knowledge of assessment and treatment approaches for the effective management of Age related/Neurological conditions/Respiratory
