Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Audiology department at Kettering General Hospital. We are seeking a new Head of Audiology for our department which comprises of both adult and paediatric services. We are a busy and friendly team delivering a comprehensive range of diagnostic audiology procedures and a hearing aid service to Adults and children including those with complex needs.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders delivering excellence through collaboration. Above all, you will be an experienced leader able to support, motivate and develop your team to deliver excellent services for our patients. You must be willing to adhere to the Trust values.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide the overall management and clinical leadership of the Audiology Service. This post will work closely with the Head and Neck clinical and management team based across the county.
This is an exciting time to join the department as we start to work as one head and neck service across University Hospitals Northamptonshire.
This job is based at Kettering General Hospital but will be involved in the Group collaboration across University Hospital Northamptonshire looking at creating aligned pathways and protocols across the county. There is a possibility in the future this post could also work from Northampton General Hospital. Due to this and the fact audiology do run clinics off site it is essential to be able to travel between locations.
For this role you must be registered with HCPC/RCCP and have a MSc in Audiology and show continued professional development.
This post requires the post holder to manage the audiology department both clinically and managerially and have extensive NHS experience.
