Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Physiotherapy Band 3 Clinical Support Assistant to join our experienced, dedicated and forward thinking mental health Physiotherapy Inpatients service. This post, based at St Georges Park Morpeth will provide Physiotherapy led interventions to inpatients who have a wide range of mental and physical health issues and will work across Working Age Adult and Older Person's pathways. Main duties will include supporting the delivery of specialist group sessions to patients; supporting the delivery of specialist education sessions; 1:1 sessions under the guidance of a qualified Physiotherapist, management and maintenance of equipment and administrative duties
The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, with experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. They must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a basic knowledge of rehabilitation and exercise. They will also have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to work flexibly as well as independently but under supervision for the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job are: To assist in the delivery of physiotherapy care to service users who have a variety of needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health, learning disabilities and / or neurological conditions under the direction of a registered physiotherapist. The overall responsibility for the service user remains, at all times with the registered physiotherapist..To accept onto caseload, patients allocated by Physiotherapy. Provide treatment according to set treatment protocols after assessment and handover by qualified staff and monitor patient progress ensuring regular feedback is given to therapists and nurses.To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team. To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.To actively engage with supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust Policy.
