Job summary
The Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders Service (CNDS) are looking to recruit a specialist nurse at band 7. The post holder requires specialist clinical skills in working with children and young people who have autism spectrum disorder, and will contribute to a highly specialist clinical service as part of a multidisciplinary team for children and young people referred to CNDS for second opinion diagnostic assessment and intervention/consultation on management advice. The specialist nurse will also carry a case load with specific case management duties.
Main duties of the job
The specialist nurse responsibilities include:
- Specialist ASD diagnostic assessment skills experience of working into 2nd opinion services.
- Leadership responsibilities for specialist early years intensive group setting for children and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary input.
- Trainer and supervision for ADOS clinical skills training workshops
- Experience of working on ASD research projects
- Experience of delivering parent mediated interventions within clinical and research settings
- Leadership within a specialist children's and young person's provision
