Job summary

An exciting opportunity to work into the Newcastle and Gateshead Access services as Community Clinical Manager has arisen.

Community Clinical Manager for central locality Working age adult community treatment teams

Responsible for performance management and quality improvement initiatives

Main elements of role are day to day responsibility for managing the services

Linking in with wider CBU and peers to support day to day delivery of safe, effective care

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership to support the Clinical Business Unit and leads in the teams, in providing the highest possible quality of care. They will maintain a high profile within the Clinical Business Unit. Working with the Group Nurse Director they will develop and promote effective nursing practice and patient care policies including specific responsibilities to designated CBU within the Trust. They will work with the Associate Director ensuring that services and processes are co-ordinated to achieve, safe, high quality care. The post holder will be expected to promote a culture of improvement and excellence in delivering services for our patients and carers.

The leadership provided by the post holder is crucial to efficient, effective, and caringservices. Not only will the post holder be professionally accountable for standards ofnursing care, they will also influence the non-clinical contributions that are necessaryto deliver a high quality care service including cleanliness of the environment andother services that impact on patient care and welfare.

CCM Oversight of both Newcastle Working Age Adult CTTs

Cover for other community CCMs when required

deputising for AD when required

Liaison with partners across the system

Supporting expansion of services and transformation work programmes

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • Professional qualifications such as: RMN, BSc, OT, Psychology, Social Worker.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience of working into adult community treatment services
  • Minimum two years experience in a Senior Nursing post.
  • Experience of Band 8a and extensive experience across all age pathways
  • Recognised management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary nursing (current trends in care delivery and therapeutic interventions).
  • Understanding of current professional nursing issues
  • Proven track record of effective collaborative working
  • Participation in Practice Development initiatives
