An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 3 Nursing Assistant to work within our Eating Disorder Pathway.

The post is working into the Intensive Day Service at Benfield House and also providing care and treatment to individual within their home environment and local community.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for caring, empathetic, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a passion to improve the lives of individuals who access the service. You must be flexible, adaptive and reliable with excellent communication skills and demonstrate a patient centred approach. An interest in working within the clinical area of Eating Disorders is desirable, the service can be challenging but rewarding.

The Service operates Monday to Friday 8-6, shifts will be a mix of 8am-4pm and 10am-6pm. You will work in a highly supported environment, and will be provided with training opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills.

We will provide you with a comprehensive induction period and have access to ongoing clinical supervision and appraisal with development review that will provide you with support and the specialist skills required to meet the holistic needs of our patients.

You will be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective safe and caring services. You will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, mutual respect and dignity.

Driving is a requirement of the post as we work with those, who for various reasons are unable to attend the Day Service Base, the post holder will regularly work into individuals homes and local communities to support recovery.
