The post advertised is a Specialist Nurse to offer clinical leadership within the children's eating disorder pathway
We have several pathways within the service offering intervention to children and young people up to the age of 18yrs old. Working closely with family, carers and the professional system to achieve the best possible outcomes and support healthy transitions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertaking advanced practice procedures and highly specialised therapeutic interventions in systemic family therapy, promoting recovery and Wellbeing and maximising independence.To deliver a high quality assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and families with complex and substantial difficulties as part of a multidisciplinary team approach.
They will provide clinical supervision to staff within CAMHS eating disorder service; using they're clinical expertise.
Also have knowledge of children's physical health needs related to the post.
To be part of service development within the wider CAMHS service.
Demonstrate flexibility in the role this may involve working across clinical pathways to support the needs of the service while ensuring the delivery of high quality care at all times full
Represent the service in the wider Trust.

North Cumbria Children & Young peoples services (CYPS) has several bases at either West of the County or East of the County.
We work mainly in the community seeing children & young people and their families within clinic's, their homes and sometimes on line via TEAMS. We also see young people in hospital.

- First Level Nursing Qualification and Registered with NMC.
- Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in evidence based psychological therapies relevant to Pathway.
- ENB 998/P126/127
- Student Nurse Assessor
- Safeguarding Children and Adults Training
Desirable
- Experience of working with children and young people
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working within an Eating disorder service.

- Commitment to Partnership working both multi-agency and multi-disciplinary.
