Job summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced administration candidates to join our busy administration team. We currently have a vacancy for a part time (22.5hrs working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) Band 3 Administration Officer in the Department of Psychology based at Bensham Hospital, Fontwell Drive, Gateshead NE8 4YL.
This is a very busy service and the successful post holder will be a member of the admin team to support the multi-disciplinary clinical team to provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times.
The post holder must facilitate excellent customer service and be confident in dealing with service users face to face as well as on the telephone. You will undertake a variety of admin duties as assigned by the Administration Team Lead/Administration Manager/Consultant Clinical Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
Candidates must be able to demonstrate recent proven 12 month experience in the following administration skills that are required for this post:
- Experience in a customer / patient focused environment
- Experience in Administration/Secretarial post
- Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
- Fast, accurate typing/keyboard skills,
- Minute taking experience
- Diary Management
- A good understanding of inputting data to a database system
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/office packages
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
- Well organised and structured
- The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role in order to meet the needs of the service
- The post holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.
- You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification otherwise you will not be shortlisted
