The post holder will work with our CaPE team. This innovative service aims to support participation in mood disorders clinical research and, in so doing, minimise the primary/secondary care gap and reduce inequalities in health.
The post holder will be a key member of our research team. We have a particular interest in difficult to treat mood disorders and also in the use of psychedelics. Currently we are the lead site for an NIHR funded bipolar depression trial, we have a commercial Psilocybin study with a strong pipeline of new studies.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will conduct research informed clinical assessments of patients who self-refer or are referred by primary or secondary care colleagues.
The post holder will support patients along the research journey (consent, screening, randomisation, outcome measures, clinical support etc).
The post holder will be involved in all aspects of large scale clinical research (participant identification, research profile raising etc)
The post holder will gain expertise in the assessment and management of patients with mood disorders and will gain an understanding of the research process.
The post will evolve depending on the post holders needs.
