Job summary

An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Specialist Nurse at Rose Lodge.

Rose Lodge is a learning disability specialist assessment and treatment inpatient unit based in Hebburn, South Tyneside. Rose Lodge has 10 beds providing acute assessment and treatment by a multi-disciplinary team. Rose Lodge offers specialist assessment and treatment and offer a multi-disciplinary approach (based on Bio-Psycho-Social Mode of Care) to care for adults aged 18 and over with learning disabilities and mental health problems or severely challenging behaviour.

The post holder will work in close collaboration with patients, families and other professionals and services involved the person's care.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be working as part of a specialist multi disciplinary team, consisting of medics, nurses, psychologists, and allied health professionals, delivering high quality care to patients. The successful post holder will provide enhanced clinical leadership for the staff working across the service. They will provide a range of learning opportunities, including formal teaching sessions, group clinical supervision sessions, task shadowing, role modelling

The successful post holder will be an active member of the senior leadership team and will work collaboratively to ensure high quality person centred care is delivered.

  • Relevant clinical experience
  • Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate qualification
  • First Level Nursing Qualification and Registration
  • Degree or equivalent qualification or experience in evidence based psychological therapies relevant to Pathway.
  • ENB 998/P126/127
  • Student Nurse Assessor Safeguarding Children and Adults Training
  • If applicable to service Non Medical Prescriber
  • If applicable attained "Specialist" level of competency as defined in "Closing the gap" (CSIP 2006)
