Job summary
We are looking for qualified experienced staff to come and work in Psychiatric Liaison team in Cumbria. We can provide a flexible environment and have the facility to be able to provide a flexible working pattern over 24/7. This role will also provide support to the community hospitals
You will be providing mental health support to the hospitals, you will be able to offer mental health and social needs assessment, have an excellent understanding of mental health across all the pathways.
You will be able to develop meaningful relationships with other professionals such as A&E staff, Police, and adult social care to provide a holistic response to individuals mental health needs.
Main duties of the job
You will manage all aspects of mental health care to provide support and advice to families, patients and professionals around mental health. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing support.
You will be providing mental health support within the community hospitals. Be able to manage your own time and have the ability to travel throughout Cumbria.
As an experienced practitioner we will offer you regular supervision, management and clinical. We will offer opportunities for continued professional development. We also encourage our staff in the continued development of the service.
You will have skills in the assessment of all mental health issues that can arise out of normal working hours as the service is available 24/7. You will be skilled in decision making and confident in your own abilities as a practitioner.

Essential
- Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist
- Mentor training
- Evidence of post -registration training in clinical/ psychological interventions/skills relevant to the post.
- Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post
- Training in CPA, Safeguarding, MAPPA and child protection.
- Up to date knowledege/experence of relevant legislation.
Desirable
- experience working with patients with older age needs.
