Job summary
Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Assistant post working into the Northern Region Gender Dysphoria Team at Benfield House.
The Northern Region Gender Dysphoria Service (NRGDS) is a national service offering assessment and treatment for people with gender dysphoria. The Service offers psychologically informed medical care, voice and communication therapy, as well as onward referrals for gender affirming surgeries and hair reduction.
Working alongside the multi-professional team, the post holder will support them in their management of the patient pathway, ensuring all necessary information and resources are available in a timely manner, and that administrative information flows without repetition or delay.
The post holder will:
- capture and manage patient information live - during consultations - on the relevant IT systems
- prepare clinical documentation including assessment documentation under the supervision of the Lead Clinician in line with Trust policy
- work with service users within the pathway
- provide data and information to improve, inform and support delivery of care
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and should be able to work well within a team.
The post holder will be educated to a degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience working as an established medical assistant in a specialist area.
