Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Sports and Fitness Team within Secure care services. You will contribute to promoting and facilitating exercise, not only as a distraction or a recreational pastime but as a valued therapeutic tool. We are looking for someone with the appropriate skills and knowledge as well as previous experience within a secure setting.
Main duties of the job
You will help develop a sport exercise & activity based culture within the Hospital site / wards & facilitate onsite, community based interventions for both individuals & groups.
You will develop & maintain strong working links with the recovery and engagement team, physical health hub and wards, helping facilitate designated tasks as identified as beneficial to health and wellbeing.
Use specialist technical skills & knowledge to contribute to the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, diverse presentations and a range of physical health, neurological conditions, mental health conditions, cognitive and/or learning disabilities under the direction of a registered practitioner.
