Job summary

Northumberland Recovery Partnership have an exciting opportunity for band 6 registered nurse to join our team.

The team consists of a well-established mix of professionals that work collaboratively to deliver individualised care. The role involves individualised clinical assessment, care planning, formulation, and collaborative working across the multi-agency team.

The applicant will be expected to demonstrate leadership within the team, providing supervision and supporting students.

The post holder will represent the Trust in a number of forums and develop links with external agencies to ensure that service users have clear pathways into appropriate services.

You will have excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.

You must have a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality safe care.

You should have an interest in working within a busy and challenging environment as well as the ability to demonstrate a warm, person centred approach to care.

You will work in a highly supported environment and will be provided with training opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within our physical health pathway within the multi-disciplinary team to provide care to those affected by substance use.

The role entails working with those affected by substance and alcohol misuse that may have a range of physical health needs alongside. The role will be to provide safe and effective interventions, harm reduction advice and use of psychosocial interventions to support service users to consider and achieve recovery.

The post holder will complete comprehensive physical health assessments in line with Trust standards and offer appropriate interventions, onward referrals and monitoring of health. Your role will be pivotal in addressing health inequalities within areas of deprivation, delivering essential care to those who's physical health is negatively impacted by substance and alcohol misuse.

  • Professional Qualification and current Professional Registration as, a First Level Registered Nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD) or equivalent as an AHP, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist
  • Mentor Training.
  • Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/ psychological interventions / skills relevant to the post.
  • Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post.
