If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal clinical psychologists/psychological therapist to join our Complex Emotional Needs pathway ( assertive stabilisation team) . We are a new team developed to work with hard to reach service users and forms part of our Complex Emotional Needs pathway in North Cumbria.
Main duties of the job
You will offer leadership and clinical expertise within a small team and part of the wider Community, Crisis and Acute services with links to primary care and third sector providers.
You will assess and implement clinical interventions aimed at promoting engagement and managing risk with a small group of multi-agency service users. You will offer clinical supervision and complex case scaffolding.

- Demonstrate further specialist training and experience through having received a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision of working as a psychological therapist over a minimum of 18 months or an alternative agreed by the Psychological Services Professional Lead.
- Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management. Specialist skills and competency in at least two evidence based psychological therapies relevant to the pathway.
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of one or more specialist psychological therapies in specific difficult to treat groups relevant to the community pathway, e.g. personality disorder, dual diagnosis, people with additional disabilities.

HCPC registered practitioner psychologist or equivalent e.g. BABCP registered CBT practitioner. or Member of an appropriate professional body
