Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Permanent Band 4 Administrator to join our Children's Learning Disabilities and Behaviour Support Service as a Pathway Coordinator.

We are seeking someone who has an interest in supporting the clinical team in maintaining and monitoring quality performance indicators/clinical standards with the aim of improving, informing and supporting the delivery of the services. This is a very busy service and you would bepart of a team providing a proactive, comprehensive administrative service, supporting patients and the multi-disciplinary clinical team.

The post holder will report directly to the Administration Manager and work alongside the Clinical Team Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure the service runs efficiently and processes are adhered to. This position would be ideal for an organised, reliable, motivated and detail-orientated individual, proven line manager/leadership skills would be desirable.

You will have the opportunity to be based in Carlisle or Workington and this can be discussed at interview.

Candidates are required to meet the mobility requirements for this post as travelling between sites in North and West Cumbria is essential.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Main duties of the job

The post holder should have:

  • Experience in a customer/patient/service user focused environment.
  • Experience of diary management, arranging clinics and meetings.
  • Organising Meetings and Minute taking (including live time minuting) for a wide variety of meetings
  • Provide agreed levels of support to the service to maintain cover in the absence of other administrative staff.
  • Be able to use own initiative and keep to strict deadlines
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with both internal staff at all levels, referrers/service users coming into contact with the service, and external bodies pivotal to the service.
  • Experience of managing and maintaining effective office systems.
  • Excellent knowledge and day to day use of Microsoft Office packages - particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Typing and formatting reports/letters
  • Proven ability to collate and analyse complex data (including reports from RiO patient system or similar system), creating accurate statistical reports, and presentations
  • Ability to be self-directed, motivated and contribute positively to the service.
  • Use own initiative, work under pressure, and keep to strict deadlines.

  • OCR/RSA Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Word/Text Processing
  • General level of education to O-Level/ GCSE or equivalent

Desirable

  • Audio-typing qualification
  • NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care (or equivalent)

Knowledge and Experience
