Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Secure Care Forensic Community Team within Secure Care Services.
This role will primarily support the Criminal Justice Diversion Team (CJDT) whilst working alongside a small team of administrators providing admin support to the Forensic Community Team (FCT) and Personality Disorder Team (PD).
The post holders will provide a proactive, comprehensive administrative service and must have proven experience of working in similar work environment and secretarial experience, with excellent typing skills and minute taking skills is essential due to the demands of the role.
Main duties of the job
Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven experience (in last 12 months) of the following skills that are required for this post:
- Secretarial experience working within a team.
- Experience in a customer / patientand service user focused environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills - Reception duties
- A good understanding of the RIO system (not essential as training given to those who have not worked on this system before)
- A good knowledge of Microsoft word/office packages and typing qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills - dealing with patient queries
- Minute taking at clinical meetings i.e CCR's, clinical team meetings
- Typing letters
- Compiling reports and completing referral forms
- Diary management
- Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
- Well organised and structured
- The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role
The role will be a varied, no two days the same and we require someone who is able to use own their initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
The post holder will report directly to the Administration Manager but work closely with the Clinical Team a day to day basis.

- Audio Typing qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience
