Job summary
The post-holder will work within the NHS North Cumbria Talking Therapies Service within in North Cumbria. The service provides evidence-based psychological therapies, as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care excellence (NICE), for individuals with common mental health problems such as mild to moderate depression, anxiety disorders (e.g. PTSD, GAD, panic disorder, health anxiety and OCD) and mild bulimia.
The Employment Advisors work collaboratively with psychological practitioners within the team to understand and support patients with a variety of employment support needs
This service is an 8am - 8pm service with some weekend work. We cover North Cumbria and have two main bases in Workington and Carlisle. The post holder will be based in one of these main sites and will be required to work into a number of venues across the locality.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a team of Employment Advisors within the service.
This is a varied role which will also include some direct work with a small caseload of patients to support them to look for and apply for appropriate work as well as facilitating conversationsbetween a patient and their employer to agree solutions or reasonable adjustments to help them return or remain in work.
The Senior Employment Advisor provides operational management and caseload management for Employment advisors, along side data collection, reporting and service development.
You will receive regular Case Management Supervision and Line Management Supervision to ensure best practice and further development of core skills and practice.
The post-holder will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
The post-holder will work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.

The service is comprised of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Counsellors and Employment Advisors. We provide high quality evidence-based therapy to people with common mental health problems, self-referred or referred by GP's, and work as part of the existing Mental Health service structure across the Trust. Establishing and maintaining appropriate links with both Primary and Secondary care elements of the service. Employment advisors work collaboratively with practitioners to support patients with employment related aspects.
Working 37.5 hours per week, arranged flexibly within service hours where service permits. We would consider suggestions of any reasonable working plan to balance service needs and personal preferences.
