Job summary
The EIP team was set up in 2002 in Northumberland, the focus is on recovery, promoting independence and involves working with individuals and their families who are experiencing a first episode o psychosis. Each individual within the team has an important role to play and their opinions are listened to.
We are actively seeking to recruit a female support worker due to occupational requirements of the role in which you will be supporting services users who may have experienced trauma and require a gender specific worker.

If this is you then the Northumberland Early Intervention in Psychosis Team (EIP) would like you to join us.
You will support the delivery of high quality evidence based interventions to service users who experience first episode Psychosis and their families.
You will contribute to the clinical discussion about the care and treatment of individuals as part of a multi disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
We are a multi-disciplinary team offering interventions to support individual's recovery from psychosis across Northumberland. You will be implementing care plans with guidance and support from the team. Working within an experienced and highly motivated clinical team you will be part of a service engaged in ensuring the best possible practice in contemporary mental health care. Your job role will be to provide support to service users and their families, whilst working collaboratively with other professionals.
- Working with service users and their families who are experiencing first episode psychosis.
- Supporting access to community facilities.
- To assist in the delivery of evidence based interventions.
- Contribute to the care packages which meet individual needs.
- You will be required to work across the County of Northumberland.
You will receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal which will seek to identify areas of good practice and support the development of new skills.
