Applications are invited to apply for an Admin Officer working within OPCourage North East Team, based at Vermont House, Washington. The role is for a 12 months fixed Term, full time 37.5 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be:

  • Experience of working in a secretarial or administrator role.
  • Fast, accurate typing and note-taking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A good understanding of patient information system would be beneficial, however training will be provided.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Meet & Greet Service Users into the service.
  • The provision of named admin support and diary management to identified members of the clinical team
  • Typing of letters and other requests from a central inbox.
  • Preparation and taking notes of meetings andMDT Live Typing.
  • Processing referrals, discharges and confidential patient information within the Rio electronic system.
  • Supporting the day to day running of the admin office.

The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs, and covering colleagues during annual leave/sickness absence. This list is not exhaustive.
