Job description
Job responsibilities
The main clinical duties of the post are to attend the MDT meetings at the teams base at St Nicholas hospital and give a medical opinion on referrals as appropriate who are presenting in crisis or whom have been taken on for home-based treatment. The expectation is that patients will be seen by the consultant in their homes ( or other possible locations ) and in that regard the post holder needs to be able to travel between base and community settings.
As previously mentioned CNTW NHS Trust is committed to developing the senior medical workforce and encouraging and supporting them in this. An example of how we do this is our weekly online CPD sessions that enables consultants to have regular updates on a wide range of clinical topics and services offered by CNTW as well as updates from pharmacy about POMH etc.
As a Trust we take the health and well being of our employees very seriously and provide a range of supports to ensure that any issues are addressed promptly and sensitively.
Overall, we are committed to our consultants enjoying and flourishing in their careers and having well balanced and doable job plans that ensure dedicated SPA time and additional opportunities for development which can be negotiated on an individual basis.
