East Community Treatment Team (Carlisle and Eden).

The Community Adult Mental Health Team is based Carlisle and Penrith and we are looking to recruit passionate and good-humoured registered Nurse to work as part of our dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary community team. Main duties of the job

This exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to work as a Community Mental Health Practitioner Band 6 in the East Cumbria Community Mental Health Team. This is a permanent post working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09.00am to 05.00pm. This post is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team who will work in partnership, demonstrating compassionate caring behaviours to fulfil the key functions of the CMHT.

You will also be required to work with in the Physical Health Pathway

The post-holder is responsible for proactively promoting partnership working with patients, carers and other professionals/ agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies, working holistically with people to develop new skills and build brighter futures. This involves working in a variety of home/ near to home community environments.

  • Professional qualification Registered Mental Heath Nurse and registration to professional body, e.g. SW-England
  • Evidence of post-registration training in clinical/ psychological interventions / skills relevant to the post
  • 12 to 24 month band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need.

Desirable

  • Post registration experience or qualification relevant to mental health

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Professional qualification Registered Mental Heath Nurse and registration to professional body, e.g. SW-England
  • Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, NMC standards and other local and national initiatives.
