An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 4 Nursing Associate to work within Older Peoples services inpatient service.
Woodhornis an inpatient unit based at St George's Park in Morpeth. Woodhorn has 10 bedsproviding assessment and treatment by a multi disciplinary health and social care team. Woodhorn is for older people with mental health problems arising from organic disorders such as dementia.
Successful applicants must have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe patient care. Applicants should have an interest in working within Neurological care in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Main duties of the job
The Nursing Associate is a Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) registered professional with accountability and responsibility for their practice, evidence based decision making, working within the limits of their competence.
They have a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan and across the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings.
The Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses, working within all aspects of the nursing process.Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours consistent with CNTW values.
They will understand and act in accordance with the NMC Code: Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviours for Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates and fulfil all registration requirements.
They will understand and apply relevant legal and governance requirements including policies, ethical frameworks and mandatory reporting duties.
They will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
