We also aim to work with a variety of partner agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for people.

We need confident, motivated, kind people with excellent risk assessment & problem-solving, communication & decision-making skills. People who want to develop their OT practice, advocate for OT & to keep learning & developing so that we can improve our Recovery outcomes.

We have many opportunities for personal and professional development, clinical, peer supervision, OT Best Practice Forums & CPD opportunities. This role would suit someone who wants to develop from a Band 5 to Band 6 or a current Band 6 who wants more experience in mental health or community.

About us

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.

The OT team stretches across the county in North Cumbria. We are a growing OT team who are dynamic and creative. Our local OT/ AHP network is incredibly supportive and you'll get the chance to work alongside other OTs in CTT as well as having connections with the OTs working in the Perinatal and Eating Disorder Teams. We regularly share best practice, learn from each other and come together for CPD workshops and we meet as a group once a month to explore an OT complex case. We also benefit from connections with the wider CNTW AHP network for CPD opportunities eg AHP conference.

The CTTs are busy, interesting, and challenging places to work. We hold complex caseloads and our role is valued within a multi disciplinary team framework. We maintain an occupational focus in the team and contribute our unique perspective throughout a person's CTT journey. We contribute to the screening and triage process, formulations and wider complex case discussions.
