An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of the Initial Response Service (IRS) and the new 111 Mental Health Crisis Hub which will be based within IRS, Hopewood Park Hospital, Sunderland
The successful candidate will work alongside the existing leadership team within IRS to support/provide clinical leadership, supervision and oversight to ensure as a service we delivery safe, effective/efficient care to all service users who contact either IRS and the new 111 Mental Health Crisis Hub which will be operationalised by April 2024.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, resilient and able to responsive to the needs/demands of working within a busy service. There will be an exception that the post holder can work within an agreed shift pattern to support providing leadership cover across the 7-day working week and act as a positive role model to both the call handlers and triage clinicians by offering the guidance and expert advice with any complex/challenging situations when needed.
The 111 Mental Health Crisis Hub is an exciting development with this been a Trust Wide innovative. The successful candidate will be required to utilise excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively alongside the leadership team whilst supporting positive interface/joint working with teams/services within CNTW and external services to ensure that we always deliver high quality standards of care.
Main duties of the job
Overall the role will entail working within the leadership team to ensure that as a service we provide 7 day clinical lead oversight/cover .
Act as a role model to support/guide the team deliver high quality standards of care, be responsive to service demands and dynamic in supporting the team with complex and challenging situations.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, work well within the leadership team to prioritise daily clinical demands / needs of service, whilst supporting the clinical team.
Provide clinical advice and supervision (both individual and group supervision) and contribute to individuals appraisals.
Provide in house training to team and wider teams/services when needed.
Support and embed clinical standards within the team.
Lead/support and contributing to monitoring team's clinical performance via clinical audits and work in conjunction with Team Manger to support actions to improve the quality and performance of the service and outcomes for services users
Show excellent organisational, time management and delegation skills to work in an area of changing priorities.
Be a cohesive member of the Leadership Team, work flexibly and support the Team Manager where needed, offer expertise and experience to develop new staff and support in retention and wellbeing of the team.
