Job summary
Northumberland South and West Community Treatment Teams have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced clinician to join the team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
We would expect the successful candidate to be a pivotal member of the leadership team supporting service development across both psychosis and non-psychosis pathways; although clinical expertise might be in one pathway, we would expect the post holder to have clinical knowledge and experience to support all pathways.
The post will be an opportunity for development in all aspects of the role; clinical expertise, leadership and service development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist assessment and may be required to hold a caseload. This will include delivering a range of nursing and psychological interventions to individual patients and their families, as appropriate. We require someone who has highly developed clinical skills, including expert knowledge of risk assessment and management skills, whom can work autonomously and assist and support colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations.
About us
We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.
