Job summary
We offer an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, dynamic and committed registered mental health nurses to work as part of Adult Secure Services at The Bamburgh Clinic, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. We Have available staff nurse posts on 3 sperate wards.
Oswin Ward at the Bamburgh Clinic, an 11 bedded Medium Secure Ward for patients on the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway.
Aidan Ward at the Bamburgh Clinic, a 10 bedded Medium Secure Ward for the assessment and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.
Cuthbert Ward at the Bamburgh Clinic, a 15 bedded Medium Secure Ward which focuses on the recovery and rehabilitation of patients with complex mental health needs.
Secure Care Services are part of Central Locality and are developing a number of exciting new services over the coming months that enables the continued growth in preparation for the CEDAR new build at Northgate hospital in Morpeth, Northumberland.
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses with excellent values to support adults on the OPD pathway in a secure care setting. You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual and work well within a team, whilst being adaptable to changing situations. You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently within a busy and intensive environment dealing with unpredictable situations whilst remaining focused on providing a person centred approach to care and treatment.
Main duties of the job
The service has a holistic, therapeutic approach which encourages engagement and co-production. There will be robust MDT process in place enabling the pathway to be person centred, focussing on hope and recovery supporting patients to have a voice.
This is an exciting time to join the Secure Care Services CBU as redevelopment and expansion has commenced which will see our Medium Secure Units relocate to our new Hospital known as Sycamore Unit in Morpeth, Northumberland in early 2023.
