Job summary

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be motivated to engage and adapt to fast-changing patient presentations. You will be able to demonstrate skills in promoting good relationships and effective communication with a patient, their relatives and carers, all members of the team, as well as multi-agency colleagues.
We will provide you with a comprehensive induction period and have access to ongoing clinical supervision and appraisal with development review that will provide you with support and the specialist skills required to meet the complete needs of the children and young people in your care.
You will be supported to undertake further training and development. There is opportunities to work towards a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Diploma. Further training can also lead to B4 Associate Practitioner Posts as well opportunities to pursue financially supported Apprenticeships to achieve your Nursing Registration.

Main duties of the job
The posts require a caring, responsive and nurturing workers with good communication skills. As a Nursing Assistant you will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and will be part of the ongoing assessment of care needs for patients.
Posts are available within inpatient and community settings across all age groups and specialities.
The post involves supporting the individual their families and carers to ensure their emotional mental and physical wellbeing needs are met.
Whilst having knowledge and experience of mental health care and learning disability services is desirable, having the right values and attitudes and the desire to work in a challenging but rewarding environment is essential.
Predominantly the posts sit within our inpatient settings, you would be required to do shift work spanning 7 days a weeks, rotating throughout the 24-hour period.
