Job summary

We are recruiting Staff Nurses to work flexibly across a wide range of Services as part of the Staffing Solutions Nurse Bank Service.

Bank workers are an integral support to our substantive workforce and are needed to cover known vacancies, sicknesses and other staff shortages and more often Bank workers are needed at short notice for clinical need. There is an expectation that bank workers will work at least two shifts per month.

You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have the ability to work both independently and within a team. You will demonstrate the ability to liaise with different agencies.You will need to be skilled and comfortable in dealing with clients who have multiple and complex needs, including issues around risk management.

Main duties of the job

They act as a Primary/Named Nurse within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, and needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.They provide excellent professional, skilled and effective person centred, evidence based nursing care.They are actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.They are visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.They contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes.They contribute to the education and development of the workforce and students.They contribute to staff appraisals and support personal development plans.They safely administer medication following Trust policies and practice guidelines.They will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
