Hosted by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, AuditOne is an NHS consortium based in the North East employing around 80 employees across its internal audit, technology risk assurance, counter fraud and workforce teams.

In October 2021 we launched Workforce One, the HR consultancy arm of AuditOne providing bespoke HR solutions to clients and tailored HR services to the wider NHS. We have had a very busy and exciting first quarter and we are now looking to expand a number of our services including our conflict resolution service. To support this expansion we are looking to recruit Conflict Resolution Consultants to our bank.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate(s) will be the Investigatory Lead on ER investigations on behalf of NHS clients. You will be responsible for:

  • creating an investigation plan
  • carrying out investigatory work ie taking statements, interviewing witnesses, producing associated documentation
  • liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including Trade Union representatives, representatives from regulatory bodies, Senior Leaders and employees from a range of professions
  • presenting your findings/ recommendations at the relevant forum.
  • attending tribunal as a supporting witness
  • carrying out independent culture/ service reviews

The Successful Applicant

This is a client facing role and you will be involved in complex and sensitive cases across a number of NHS organisations. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has demonstrable experience of ER issues, conflict resolution and investigations
  • Has excellent working knowledge of UK employment legislation (a solid understanding of NHS Agenda for Change is desirable)
  • Is commercially aware and customer focused with experience of working to KPI's/ SLA's
  • Has sound analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiating skills with the ability to understand and contextualize complex, very sensitive and potentially contentious issues
  • Has impeccable discretion, confidentiality and an excellent understanding of GDPR
