We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Practitioner with a Special Interest (GPwSI) in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) to join our expanding team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC). This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality, specialist ENT care in a community setting while playing a key role in improving patient pathways and supporting service integration between primary and secondary care.

This role is ideal for a GP who is passionate about developing innovative, patient-centred services and keen to contribute to the transformation of ENT care across North Cumbria.
Main duties of the job

Deliver outpatient ENT clinics (typically two sessions per week), providing assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of ENT presentations.
-
Triage incoming referrals and offer timely Advice & Guidance to primary care colleagues to support decision-making and reduce unnecessary secondary care referrals.
-
Perform appropriate clinical interventions (e.g. micro-suction, flexible nasal endoscopy) as part of commissioned service delivery.
-
Work closely with the ENT consultant team and community service providers to deliver integrated care pathways aligned with local population needs.
-
Provide training and educational support to GPs, practice nurses, and wider primary care colleagues to improve ENT knowledge and capability within general practice.
-
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of ENT services through clinical audit, quality improvement, and participation in service development projects.
-
Engage with multidisciplinary teams including audiology, vestibular physiotherapy, and speech and language therapy to support holistic patient care.
