Band 7 MRI Lead Radiographer - up to 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the West Cumberland Hospital Radiology Department at North Cumbria Integrated Care as an MRI Lead Radiographer. The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of the leadership team managing the day to day running of the MRI services and staff as well as developing knowledge and skills to meet the service needs of the department.

The post will be based at the West Cumberland hospital with a requirement to travel to Cumberland Infirmary To assist with training of staff and developing the service.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to act as a Lead Radiographer with specialist skills responsible for a discrete subsection within radiology as agreed to meet service needs and ensure the delivery of a high quality service.

Experience in MRI is essential. The successful candidate must have the knowledge and ability to update/ change protocols and equipment parameters when required as well as reviewing waiting times and implementing service changes.

You will be supported by the Trust Lead Radiographer to continually develop clinical knowledge and leadership skills and work alongside other modality leads sharing department leadership where required.
