Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:

• youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure
• the multiple conviction rule has been removed, meaning that if an individual has more than one conviction, regardless of offence type or time passed, each conviction will be considered against the remaining rules individually, rather than being automatically disclosed.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

• Experience of managing staff and systems
• Experience of working under pressure and to time constraints adapting to an ever changing environment

Desirable

• Ideally previous experience working in health or social care services
• Customer Service Training

Qualifications

Essential

• The post holder will be educated to GCSE/ 'A' level or equivalent.
• ECDL or equivalent

Knowledge

Essential

• Competent with internet and email.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
• Knowledge of, and regular use of, strategic /corporate information systems and patient/service user record systems

Desirable

• Knowledge and understanding of health and social care terminology.
• Experience of using EMIS, ICE, Liquid Logic, STRATA.

Skills & Apitudes

Essential

• Accurate keyboard skills.
• Improvement skills (or be willing to attend training and development as appropriate).
• Excellent telephone skills for dealing with calls to refer individuals to ICC Service from a variety of agencies.
• To be friendly, tactful, articulate, sympathetic and self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate with staff and individuals using services at all levels.
• Committed to values of NHS and Social Care and recognition of importance of delivering care that is centred on the needs of individuals.
