Facilities Manager - Portering, Security & Car Parking Band 7 - 37.5 hours - WCH
The Facilities Manager will provide support across a range of managerial and technical functions, providing leadership to the staff within their remit in the Facilities management structure. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the provision of Soft FM services in their area of responsibility is delivered to the highest standard of quality efficiency and value for money.
Main duties of the job
- Create pathways for continuous development of staff within area of responsibility, motivate and lead staff to achieve your team goals, leading into the overall Facilities objectives and the Trust Business Plan.
- Effectively manage staff within area of responsibility providing support and advice, formal supervisions, performance reviews etc and in doing so the post holder is exposed to dealing with emotional or distressing staffing circumstances where their key communication skills will be utilised regularly
- Recruit and employ within area of responsibility
- Be responsible for supervisions, appraisals and personal development plans for staff within area of responsibility.
- Be responsible for sickness and annual leave management of staff within area of responsibility.
- Be the authorised budget and service management signatory for staff forms relevant to area of responsibility e.g. timesheets, lease requests, travel expenses etc up to the level of authority assigned by the Trusts SFI's
- Negotiate with the staff within own area of responsibility to meet deadlines, and provide leadership, coaching and support as required.
- Work closely with the HR department and the Union when reviewing staffing arrangements.
- Provide direct line management to the staff within area of responsibility
