Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:

• youth cautions, reprimands and final warnings will no longer be subject to automatic disclosure
• the multiple conviction rule has been removed, meaning that if an individual has more than one conviction, regardless of offence type or time passed, each conviction will be considered against the remaining rules individually, rather than being automatically disclosed.

Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

Qualifications

Essential

• oCSP recognised Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Physiotherapy
• oHPC registered
• oMember of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Desirable

• oEvidence of attendance at relevant post graduate courses.
• oMentorship/educator qualification

Knowledge

Essential

• oGood Knowledge of Evidence Based Clinical Practice within Rehabilitation and neurological condtions
• oKnowledge of national guidelines for common neurological conditions and relevant standards and outcome measures.
• oGood Knowledge of Continuing Professional Development/Lifelong Learning
• oUnderstanding of Professional Code of Conduct and confidentiality
• oKnowledge of clinical audit and outcome measures and their use in service improvement
• oKnowledge of key NHS drivers for change and implications for neurological services

Desirable

• oPrevious experience of working within a community setting.
• oSome previous experience of working at Band 6 level particularly within neurology and elderly rehabilitation.
