Band 5 Staff Nurse, Urgent Treatment Centre up to 37.5hours per week available

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team within Penrith and Keswick UTC, with rotation into Eden Scheduled Care services. We are seeking to recruit a Registered Nurse (Adult), with active NMC registration to work within our departments.

The UTC provides a service to members of the public who have urgent/emergency treatment care needs. The department also includes a Scheduled Care service, which is an exciting developing service allowing Eden patients to be treated closer to home.

The department seeks to provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment to all patient groups .

You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision. You will also contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice within the department and ward area, as well as providing nursing care in accordance with local policies, procedures and guidelines and comply with NMC code of professional conduct.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who have experience of working as a student nurse or as a qualified staff nurse within the NHS or equivalent.

Network with external care providers to ensure continuity of care in both acute and community settings.

We have a friendly, supportive and approachable new management team who will provide training and support where required.

Main duties of the job

Provision of a nursing service to members of the public who require emergency treatment of acute injuries or illness. The department seeks to provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment to all patient groups in which their identified physical and psycho-social needs can be met.

Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision. Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the unit. Provide nursing care in accordance with local policies, procedures and guidelines, complying with the NMC code of professional conduct.
