An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced individual, qualified with a relevant Diploma or Foundation Degree to join our small and vibrant Audiology service in this newly developed role.

We are looking to recruit an Associate Audiologist to work in support of our Audiologists in providing hearing aid assessments, fittings, follow up and repairs.

The successful candidate would be expected to work autonomously at outreach clinics in a number of sites .The base for the position is negotiable at either the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle or West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.

Main duties of the job

Our state-of-the-art hospital in Whitehaven has secured funding for the next stage of its improvements with a huge upgrade in facilities for both patients and staff creating a better environment, retaining bed capacity and services for the site and improving the capacity to undertake additional planned operations in the future. This represents the single biggest investment in healthcare in West Cumbria for over 50 years. This is a really important milestone for our organisation which will allow us to further expand our range of local services as we continue to improve safety and quality.

The Trust provides a comprehensive range of general acute hospital services.
