Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our county-wide Community Acquired Brain Injury Service to recruit a Physiotherapist wanting to employ and/or develop their specialist skills in the area of Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to work as part of our dedicated inter-disciplinary community team. The post holder will have close working relationships with a diverse range of other services including other community services, Acute Care, Mental Health services, Adult Social Care and third sector providers and charitable organisations. This will be to support the time-limited rehabilitation of adults following acquired brain injury (ABI) and who are registered with a GP in Cumbria. The post-holder may be required to work within a variety of settings, including the patient's own home and may be required to travel county wide on occasions.The successful candidate will be an experienced HCPC registered therapist with evidence of ongoing professional development. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to work within a changing environment and good communication skills and will be supported by other AHP and team members in the role. The post-holder will deliver services across the working week.

Main duties of the job

As a member of co-ordinated Interdisciplinary team (IDT), provide specialist (expert) physiotherapeutic assessment; rehabilitation advice, and treatment to service users within the community setting.

Working as member of interdisciplinary team, formulate appropriate goals and intervention strategies; in liaison with the service user, carers and relevant professionals e.g. team colleagues.
